This is our very first release of the Four Winds Chardonnay and we couldn’t be more excited! Four Winds is a special vineyard ideal for the Chardonnay that we aspire to make…fresh, acid driven and austere. Located high in the foothills of the McMinnville Coast Range, these 20 year old Wente clone vines deliver pristine Chardonnay with personality and restrained elegance.
In the glass the color is glowing straw with a slight green tint suggesting a vibrant and youthful wine. The aromatics lead with honey, mineral, and a pronounced lemon and lime character. The palate reveals acidity and brightness and opens into a subtle spice matched perfectly with stone and grass to frame the light and angular mouth feel. A touch of roasted nut and cream combine for richness on the mid palate. Persistent acidity carries the wine through a lengthy and full finish.
